Fly fishing on Tara
Challenge yourself and try fishing in the deepest canyon in Europe, second deepest in the world. Tara is known as "Tear of Europe".
Ffor its crystal clear water, it is rich with salmonid fish species. Due to the fact that fishing occurs in the zone of National Park Durmitor, and that canyon of river Tara is the second deepest in the world (deepest point is 1300 m), in combination with wilderness, untouched nature and magnificent landscape, makes fishing on this location truly an adventure.
Only fly fishing is permitted on the river Tara.
Common fish species are:
- Stream trout – approximate weight 0.5-5 kg; maximum 10 kg
- Huchen-15-20 kg; maximum 40 kg
